Here are some words of wisdom that I have accumulated throughout my adventures in life:
Firstly, beer pong with nickels does not work. Also, using golf balls does not improve said situation.
Make sure the melted cheese is NOT scalding hot before you pour it all over yourself.
When in doubt, always add MORE sugar to the sweet tea, as opposed to less.
Butter makes everything taste better. Everything.
Most of life's problems can be solved with homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Treat people the way you would if it was the last time you ever saw them. Make the best of it, you never know when it will be.
"Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, leave the rest to God!"
Careful when praying to God for patience ...
Don't be afraid to love with all of your heart, even if you might get hurt. It's worth it.
God knows best. Seriously.
Obama is WRONG. THE END.
Don't be afraid to do something crazy. Despite its potential downfalls, at the end of your life, which will be more worth it? The ordinary, or the unconventional? Jumping into a pool with all your clothes on, or not because you just want to stay dry?
Quantum Law of Physics: All fun things cost at least 8 dollars.
The Church doesn't make the Christian.
Hold onto that one special thing in life that gives you joy, at all costs. Because if you let it go, you may never get it back. Other happiness pales in comparison.
Give LOTS of hugs.
If you hear a song and like it, write it down!
Waffle house at 2am. makes everything okay. The world disappears, even if just for a little while.
Laugh out loud. Loudly.
Have at least one person you can trust and tell your secrets to.
Write it all down.
Drink Cheerwine.
Read something you wouldn't normally read.
Wear something you wouldn't usually wear.
Take a bubble bath.
Ponytails = panacea for bad hair days.
Don't be afraid to listen to new music.
Don't hate. It can control you, it has the power to consume you. Hate is a wasted emotion.
God will make all just in the end.
Go ahead and put that eyeliner on the inside of your eyelids.
Never underestimate the power of prayer, especially in numbers.
Believe in the unbelievable.
YOU cannot be replaced.
Listen to your gut.
People matter more than things.
Jump off at least one cliff in your life.
Prefer the deepest joy to the unremarkable, safe emotions; even if it has the potential to cause the greatest pain.
Try a crazy food.
Paint a room a crazy colour.
Run outside and dance in the rain.
Smile at strangers.
Never forget your roots.

Worries
Sometimes I'm afraid.
I'm afraid I'm going to fail at life. Afraid I'm not going to be successful. Afraid I will amount to nothing. Afraid nothing will work out, my hopes will be crushed, my dreams will amount to nothing because I lack the ability to make them come true.
I'm applying to colleges and I'm just so worried. What if I mess up? What if I can't pay for college? I'm basically depending upon the hope of a scholarship to get me the education I need. But what if those doors don't open for me?
I guess I'm just a little bit insecure about my capabilities. I know God will provide and take care of me, I'm just worried about the future at times.
We must have prayer and faith and hope - things will work out.

The use of being multilingual... (or at least having access to the internet)
These words do not have direct equivalents in English. Some of them would definitely be useful for us English-speakers, don't you think? I'll add words to it periodically.
1. Waldeinsamkeit (German): the feeling of being alone in the woods
2. Ilunga (Tshiluba, Congo): a person who is ready to forgive any abuse for the first time, to tolerate it a second time, but never a third time
3. Taarradhin (Arabic): a way of resolving a problem without anyone losing face (not the same as our concept of a compromise – everyone wins)
4. Litost (Czech): a state of torment created by the sudden sight of one’s own misery
5. Esprit de l’escalier (French): a witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs…
6. Meraki (Greek): doing something with soul, creativity, or love
7. Yoko meshi (Japanese): literally ‘a meal eaten sideways’, referring to the peculiar stress induced by speaking a foreign language:
8. Duende (Spanish): a climactic show of spirit in a performance or work of art, which might be fulfilled in flamenco dancing, or bull-fighting, etc.
9. Guanxi (Mandarin): in traditional Chinese society, you would build up good guanxi by giving gifts to people, taking them to dinner, or doing them a favour, but you can also use up your gianxi by asking for a favour to be repaid.
10. Pochemuchka (Russian): a person who asks a lot of questions
11. Tingo (Pascuense language of Easter Island): to borrow objects one by one from a neighbours house until there is nothing left
12. Radioukacz (Polish): a person who worked as a telegraphist for the resistance movements on the Soviet side of the Iron Curtain
13. Selathirupavar (Tamil): a word used to define a certain type of absence without official leave in face of duty
14. Hiraedd (Celtic): Something that is longed for but cannot be obtained

Our Wonderful Government
Our founding father's would be turning in their graves if they saw America today.
Many people fail to realize the true extent of the corruption and incapability of the government today.
As America is spiraling down a socialist path under the abhorrent leadership of President Obama, the Government has, in addition, far outstepped its intended reach. The Government's purpose is to defend the people and protect their freedom. Many wonderful and "free" "services" the Government offers today are certainly not constitutional. Welfare, foreign aid, the recently passed healthcare bill, federal roads, income tax, even public education were never intended roles of our federal government.
I beg you to remember that nothing you receive from the Government is free. It is all paid for by YOU and YOUR taxes. If you weren't paying all those taxes, couldn't you pay for all of those services for yourself? Not to mention get better service for your money.

Not our brightest idea
Tonight Kelsey, Marleigh and I ran out into a rainstorm. It was sunny all day, but all of a sudden there was thunder and it was pouring, like out of nowhere.
We grabbed some towels and ran out the door into the darkness of night. I'd never seen a storm like this before.
The lightning was long, bright and continuous. It was so brilliant that it lit up the sky, and kept coming, with no relent. Georgia storms are something new to me. You wouldn't think it, but they're way different from Florida storms ... and way better! We ran and laughed and danced and screamed like little girls while doing all three of those things, all while lightning was flashing through the sky. We got soaked.
It was stupid, yes, it was awesome, yes.
The awesome is the most important part.
Run out in a rainstorm sometime - nothing else like it makes you feel quite so alive.

Rain, Rain
Raining again. It's the hardest I've seen it rain for a while.
The garden looks like it's doing well from my view outside the window. Currently: (Was) watching Naruto, (Now) making cards, watching Pride and Prejudice. Yay Mr. Darcy! Well, not much to do right now. Kelsey and Autumn might come over. I miss Joshua.

Will I make it back to shore of drift into the unknown? Thought excerpts ...
Thinking, but nonetheless with a mind at ease. Sleep was all too hard to come by, and I woke up thankful I'd made it through another restless night. Hoped the day would be slow to flee before I endure the night again.
Thoughts come, they cannot ruin my contentedness, but intrigue nonetheless. I don't fear my mind and myself like I used to long ago. Now those dark corners are filled with light, and I am happy, I am JOYFUL - I am at peace. Peace for my weary soul, a welcome solace from the turmoil it once dragged itself through.
I don't know why I can't sleep well. I sought to occupy my mind in hopes of drifting off into the unknown. Ironically, this did just the opposite, keeping me awake.
Love is a
beautiful thing, fills me with joy and grants me patience and understanding, compassion and kindness towards those to whom it is directed. Real love is not conditional, it has the power to be enduring and yet never grow old. I embrace it, it envelops me, it fills my heart, my mind, my soul.
Looking back on what perhaps were empty words of [others] all along, broken promises, forgotten dreams never to be picked up again. Do we say our own words only to help us hold on to what's around us, praying they are prophecies that end up true? Do we ever really know what our words will become, what they truly mean?
Tell me, can we?
We all want to think that we are different, that our words hold more meaning than those forgotten ones before them.
Tell me, do they?
You might think it's child's play to believe that our words are different, but I am willing to have faith in them.
It's part of love.
Faith, and hope, and dreams.
We might get hurt, but we might not.
How will you ever know if you don't try?
Hold on to not only your words, but something deeper beneath them. Words are but a reflection of something bigger and greater than us all. All words are empty without the meanings put behind them.
Let your actions truly reflect what you say, let what you say truly reflect what you do, who you are.
I have faith in us all.
I drift into the unknown.

Confessions & Memories (Not In Order)
Romans 8:38-9 : favorite verse right now.
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
... God is GREAT. I think about it all the time, whether I'm doing the most random things like washing dishes or contemplating the complex depth of life out on a tree in the middle of Lake Santeetlah. People will spend their whole lives trying to find meaning to their lives. People will spend their whole lives with a longing to be loved... - and yet, when it comes to God, you need look no further. God is that meaning to life, God is that love that will NEVER forsake you, NEVER betray you, ALWAYS love you. Where else on this Earth can you find a love like that? It's beautiful &amazing &wonderful &it's something greater than us all.

Now to the writing shtuff...
Confessions:
1. I'm listening to Eminem as I just wrote that Bible Verse.
2. YES I ACCIDENTALLY POURED THE SALT IN THE SUGAR I'M SORRY.
TBC.
---
Memories:
Thinking about all those old memories that hit us at different times of the day. For no reason at all.
Yesterday I was just sitting on a couch in the middle of Kelsey's living room when all these memories sort of just came to me.
Spilling my drinks every time I went to a restaurant when I was little.
(NEVER being able to spell restaurant. Ever. I just use spell check.)
Bringing home my brand new kitten in the glove box of the car.
Blowing bubbles outside the old apartments.
Stopping by the gas station ever other weekend I visited dad and getting blue or pink Gatorade, Recees, and Bubble Tape Gum.
Pouring melted cheese all over ourselves on a random whim.
Kelle and I drooling over Sasuke while watching Naruto on our random Saturday night sleepovers.
Listening to Eminem in the car on the way home from school with dad.
---
More Confessions (Or the Extra Stuff):
AKA Some things I'd like to say to people:
- I love you with all of my heart, I'll love you always. You are my gift from God, and I am yours.
- I'll always miss you, even if you don't think I do. Right now I'm just too prideful to say that to your face. Forgive me?
- I see you as a fellow sister, you are my most beloved friend, even if I don't always act like it. Thankyou for being such a true friend and putting up with me through everything.
- I'm sorry it had to end like it did.
- I reject you!
- Thankyou so much for everything.
- We've had our ups and downs. Maybe it wasn't you, but the circumstances... but thankyou for helping me to become who I am.
- Why?
- I don't deserve the faith you have in me.
- I love you so much I can't even begin to describe it. You're my hero, and you've taught me so much. Thankyou for everything. I love you.

You’ll probably never see me cry. I hate to cry around people.
Don’t be surprised if I confuse you, I confuse me too.
My eyes can’t ever decide what color to be.
I have fairy hair.
People say I look just like Dakota Fanning. Emphasis on that whole last sentence.
I laugh for no reason.
My emotions can be a roller coaster.
I can be a bit uncomfortable with the human experience.
I feel old for my age.
I’m indecisive. Or maybe I’m not.
I apologize a lot. Sorry.
Writing is how I vent. I’m a writer, not a speaker; tongue tied and foot in mouth is what I do best.
I’m a little crazy.
I bake cookies for people.
If things aren’t in order, I lose it.
I make things.
You’ll probably consider me shy if I don’t know you.
People that know me probably wouldn’t consider me shy.
I’m not a natural at being open, but I’m trying.
I like barefeet.
I climb trees.
If I find something worth putting my heart into, I put my heart into it all the way.
I will stand by the things I firmly believe in.
I prefer music over human conversation.
My face turns red very easily.
I believe everything happens for a reason.
I think the saddest people are the ones who have nothing to live for.
I try to live from a place of strength, not victimhood.
I heart Cheerwine.
V for Vendetta and Phantom of the Opera are the best. Forever.
The most important things to me are God and the people I love.
People say I’m tough to get to know, but it’s not impossible. I promise.

Okay
Okay, that last post wasn't really much of a post.
It's been about a month since my last - what's gone on since then?
VSO was very fun, though very different this year.
Shelby and Molly came and went - I MISS YOU! :) (Though it's nice for the house to be quiet!)
However, now it's almost too, unnaturally quiet - this house quiet is a rarity.
Tried to wake up early today - so much for that! Hello to you too, 11 ...
SchoolSchoolSchool but I'll be about done soon
A little bit lonely, a little bit bored, but those are possible to change.
2 days until Kelsey's birthday!! How exciting!!
Is it weird that I actually kinda sorta want-to go shopping? Hmm...
Reading lots of books, listening to music, playing Sims 3.
Not much of the profound to say.
